These days, technological advancements happen almost instantly. Every time you get your hands on the newest and greatest device, it feels like a quicker, smarter, and trendier one has already been released.Tablet computers are the newest technology to take the globe by storm. These handy devices, like the iPad from Apple and the Galaxy Tab from Samsung, let you read books and magazines, browse the internet, play games, view movies in high definition, listen to music, and send and receive emails. These tablets are not only practical and fashionable, but they also have numerous positive environmental effects.

Print is fading in relevance as tablets take the consumer sector by storm. With the ease with which onsumers can now read books, periodicals, and newspapers on tablets, countless numbers of trees have been saved. But how environmentally beneficial are tablet computers, aside from saving trees?

As is customary with Apple, the corporation was ahead of its time and ignited the tablet revolution; among the first tablets to draw in customers was the iPad. The iPad is less than 10 inches tall and only half an inch thick, weighing less than two pounds. But the iPad has a lot of environmentally friendly features in addition to its elegant and smart appearance. The iPad is devoid of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), brominated flame retardants (BFRs), arsenic-free display glass, and mercury-free LCD display. In addition to its recyclable aluminum and glass enclosure, this innovative tablet’s long battery life reduces energy usage by enabling users to surf, listen to music, or watch videos for up to 10 hours on a single charge.

In terms of lessening its carbon footprint, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is also contributing. Corning’s Gorilla Glass, an environmentally friendly alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass with up to four times the strength in breakage resistance, is included in the Android-powered Galaxy Tab. This environmentally friendly Gorilla Glass offers a scratch-resistant, long-lasting, and crystal-clear viewing experience in addition to a protective cover sheet and damage resistance.

Although Samsung and Apple offer a lot of environmentally friendly features, a new tablet model is being developed that could push environmental consciousness to the limit.

The brand-new Ecopad concept tablet delivers something that no other tablet can; it’s not your typical green device. This ground-breaking concept tablet doesn’t need to be externally charged, which eliminates the need for power adapters, electricity, interruptions from continuous use around-the-clock, and significant energy savings.

The NANO piezoelectricity film is the Ecopad’s secret ingredient. This movie uses your fingertips to do the charging by gathering energy from each touch and swipe of the screen. In essence, the Ecopad charges the battery more as you use it, giving you a never-ending supply of power that makes the Energizer Bunny look bad. Is the Ecopad idea
