Intex has introduced a new Cloud-series smartphone in India, the Cloud Force, priced at Rs. 4,999. The handset is now listed on the company site and can be expected to be made available soon in India.
The Intex Cloud Force features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass for screen protection. The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Cloud Force supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM).
It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage. The handset supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Cloud Force sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also packs a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The rear camera supports slow motion video recording and panorama, a highlight at this price point. It packs a 2500mAh battery with up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and Micro-USB.
The Intex Cloud Force comes preloaded with apps such as Matrabhasha, 360 security, OLX, Goibibo, Freecharge, Newshunt, Follo, Hike, Chaatz, Saavn, and Opera mini. It measures 145.3x72x9.5mm and weighs 158 grams.
Another Intex smartphone, the Aqua 4G Strong, was revealed earlier on Thursday. The new 4G-enabled budget Intex Aqua 4G Strong smartphone, priced at Rs. 4,499, was listed on the company’s site without any availability details.
The highlight of the smartphone was it supported 4G LTE as well as voice over LTE (VoLTE), which means it should work on the upcoming Reliance Jio 4G network. The Aqua 4G Strong supports the two LTE bands in India – FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40).
