Last year, OPPO launched the flagship Find X smartphone with slider mechanism and stealth cameras. Recently, the company launched the OPPO F11 Pro with a pop-up selfie camera. The recently leaked image also hints the upcoming Reno smartphone will come with a pop-up selfie camera but in a complete unorthodox design. Now, the company has patented a smartphone with a new slider design.
Unlike the OPPO Find X, only the front camera will be hidden on this smartphone. Instead, we might be looking at dual selfie cameras on this device. On the rear, the device comes with a dual camera setup. The rear cameras will move along with the sliding part when accessing the front camera. While the OPPO Find X came with a single front along with Infrared camera, this new smartphone will be the first from OPPO to come with dual selfie cameras.
Apart from the interesting sliding cameras, the rest of the smartphone design looks similar to any other modern smartphone. The device comes with a small chin at the bottom but no notch or thick bezels. While the power button and SIM card slot are placed on the right edge, the volume rocker can be found on the opposite side. We don’t think the company will launch under the OPPO Reno series which will be unveiled on April 10th in China.
The OPPO Reno smartphone will come with triple camera setup on the rear with 10x lossless zoom. Using the periscope zoom camera, it might even offer up to 60x digital zoom. There will be two variants of OPPO Reno smartphone with Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 855 chipsets. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
