Vivo last month launched its budget Y31 smartphone and has now launched a new variant dubbed Y31A in China. The smartphone is listed on the company website and is available to buy via China Telecom carrier at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,200). The handset’s availability outside China is not yet known.
The Vivo Y31A is a dual-SIM supporting smartphone that runs FunTouch OS 4.5, based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The handset features a 4.7-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution IPS display and is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, clubbed with 1GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU.
The budget handset houses 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone camera can record and playback videos in full-HD resolution. The Vivo Y31A on the connectivity front features 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB connectivity.
The Vivo Y31A measures 137.2×68.7×8.3mm, weighs 141 grams and is backed by a 2100mAh battery. The device also supports accelerometer, proximity sensor, and photosensitive sensor.
Vivo earlier this month launched one of the first smartphones in the world featuring 6GB of RAM – the Vivo Xplay5 Elite. The handset features a dual curved 5.43-inch Super Amoled display with QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, the quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.15GHz, paired with 6GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. Some of the other features of the device are 16-megapixel rear camera; 8-megapixel front-facing camera; 4G LTE; 128GB inbuilt storage, and 3600mAh battery.
