A new smartphone from Xiaomi, dubbed as Xiaomi Mi MIX Evo, has now been spotted on benchmark website Geekbench. As per the specifications listed on Geekbench, it appears that the smartphone is a high-end device as it packs a capable processor in the form of Snapdragon 835 SoC.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Evo smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8998 (Snapdragon 835) processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The listing suggests that the smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and the peak clock speed of the octa-core processor is clocked at 1.9GHz.
Even though the listing doesn’t reveal more details about the phone, its name suggests that this might be a possible variant of company’s near bezel-less display smartphone-Xiaomi Mi MIX. The listing was first spotted by GSMArena.
To recall, Xiaomi launched the Mi MIX smartphone as a limited edition handset in October last year. The phone features 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, coupled with 4GB/ 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In terms of optics, Xiaomi has included a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. It comes with a 5-megapixel camera at front for taking selfies.
The connectivity options on the Mi MIX smartphone include 4G LTE, a GPS/ A-GPS, NFC with Mi Pay support, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and a USB Type-C port.
At CES 2017 earlier this month, Xiaomi announced a new Mi MIX white colour variant, which will be launched in China later this year.
