Xiaomi Mi S Leak Suggests Mini-Flagship With 4.6-inch Display, Snapdragon 821 SoC and 4GB RAM

After the successful launch of the top-end Mi MIX concept smartphone with 6.4-inch display, Xiaomi seems to be working on a mini-flagship called Mi S, featuring a 4.6-inch screen. The rumoured Xiaomi Mi S is said to sport the top-end Snapdragon 821 chipset and 4GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi S smartphone, as per renders leaked on Weibo, is under development at present, reports AndroidPure. Even though the authenticity of the Xiaomi Mi S leak remains to be verified, the renders on the Chinese website provide detailed hardware specifications of the smartphone.

The 4.6-inch display of the Xiaomi Mi S smartphone is reportedly complemented by full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution. The Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM are likely to make the Mi S smartphone a capable performer.

In terms of optics, Xiaomi Mi S is expected to sport a 12-megapixel Sony IMX378 rear camera and a 4-megapixel camera at front for taking selfies. The device is tipped to house a 2600mAh battery tagged with support for quick charge. Xiaomi Mi S has been tipped to be 8.2 mm thick and weigh 138 grams. In terms of connectivity options, the Mi S is expected to offer NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

There is a very good chance that the current name Xiaomi Mi S name may be a codename and the phone can eventually be called something else altogether. As we advise you to do with every leak, take this leaks with a pinch of salt until an actual announcement by Xiaomi.
