Nokia 8.3 5G was launched by HMD Global at an online event on Thursday. It is the brand’s first 5G phone and comes with some top features, such as a 64-megapixel main camera and a 24-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone was in the rumour mill for quite some time before it was officially announced. The Nokia 8.3 5G is the successor of the Nokia 7.2 and borrows its design from there.
HMD Global has been releasing phones in different line-ups and the Nokia 8.X series phones belong to the upper mid-range segment. It comes at a price tag of EUR 599 onwards for the base variant, which is roughly Rs 48,300. The smartphone comes in a Polar Night colour option and will be available this summer. The Nokia 8.3 5G comes with stock Android-like experience with Android 10. It has ZEISS optics for the cameras, including features such as HDR10, Action Cam mode, and others. There is ZEISS Cinema Capture and Editor to allow editing videos like a pro. The cameras shoot videos in 21:9 format, which is meant for cinema. It can also record 60fps and 4K videos with stabilisation.
The Nokia 8.3 5G has dual-mode 5G. It is claimed to offer the best download speeds in NSA for now and become one of the best phones to offer better 5G as and when SA mode is enabled. HMD Global is calling it the world’s first future-proof phone. The Snapdragon 765G platform facilitates the delivery of high speeds on 5G with its modular mechanism.
Nokia 8.3 5G Price
The Nokia 8.3 5G costs EUR 599 (roughly Rs 48,300) for the 6GB/64GB model and EUR 649 (roughly Rs 52,300) for the 8GB/128GB version. It will be made available in the summer 2020. The India availability of the smartphone is confirmed as of yet.
